More than ten years ago, I decided to take my life in a different direction. A less predictable one. A riskier one. A path where learning to surf uncertainty would become part of everyday life.

That path was entrepreneurship.

Looking back, I see a journey that has often been demanding and far from straightforward. But I also see how much it has changed me.

What does entrepreneurship mean to me?

Above all, it means personal development and self-awareness.

It asks me to question beliefs I once took for granted, recognise my own blocks and face fears I might otherwise have avoided. It means making difficult decisions without knowing exactly how they will turn out—and accepting that some of them will be wrong.

Mistakes and failure are part of that learning. Accepting them has become one of the most valuable parts of the process.

Building a company has also meant learning to understand myself.

The perspective of a decade

We can expect too much from a single week and lose sight of how much can change over ten years. When I look back at what I have learned, changed and built during that time, the difference is extraordinary.

For me, it started with a decision—and the action that followed it. A willingness to leave a familiar situation and take a step into something different.

To jump, yes. With the intention to learn and find a way forward.

Why am I sharing these reflections?

01
To answer questions I’ve been asked.

Over the years, people around me have asked why I made certain decisions and how I managed those changes. Sharing the journey is a way of answering honestly.

02
To open a conversation about fear.

I have seen how the fear of losing what we have can keep us in situations that leave us frustrated or exhausted. I want to invite reflection on the decisions we make—and the ones we keep postponing.

03
To give something back.

I feel it is time to share what I have learned, including the doubts, mistakes and changes in perspective along the way.

Sharing means allowing myself to be seen

Putting personal reflections into words can feel exposing. There is always the possibility of criticism, misunderstanding or judgment.

That fear has become less important to me than the possibility of reaching someone who wants to improve their life or change something that no longer feels right. A decision can affect our own reality and the people around us.

I’m sharing these reflections for people who feel there may be more they want from life: beyond a salary, recognition, the next promotion or the hope that life will finally begin at retirement.

My truth, today

These reflections are personal. They come from the path I have walked and the way I understand it today.

My perspective may change tomorrow. Learning and growth keep reshaping it. The same uncertainty can look like a threat or an opportunity, depending on the lens through which we see it.

An invitation to reflect.
I’m sharing my experience, rather than prescribing a path for anyone else. Take what resonates, question it, and decide what it means for your own journey.
